Essential Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in Computer Science / Engineering with at least 50% in the aggregate  Three years experience in the field of managing large computer systems and systems management at an educational Institute of repute

Desirable Qualification

Maintaining of large number of Desktop computers, laptops, printers and scanners in network  Installing and Troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, STATA, SPSS, LIBSYS (Library Software) and EVIEWS Able to diagnose, analyze and resolve user PC Laptop software and hardware issues Able to perform installation, configuration and trouble shooting of printers and scanners Able to install and update antivirus across all systems Able to maintain and supervise backups, records, contracts and data files Experience in operation and maintenance of computer network, laptops, equipment and other related computer hardware Experience to advise purchase, configure and install laptops, PCs and computer related equipments. Working knowledge in LAN/WAN, Desktop, Server Systems Familiarity with WINDOWS, LINUX operating systems Knowledge of working in statistical packages, Microsoft Office, PPP Knowledge of Kannada to speak

Age Limit

1. The upper age limit for the post is 30 years.
2. Age should be calculated as on the last date prescribed for receipt of completed applications.
3. Proof of age is SSLC/Transfer Certificate.
4. The age limit may be relaxed without any limit in case of employees of the Institute (including temporary/project staff).
5. In case of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes candidates, the age limit is relaxable up to 5 years; in case of physically challenged up to 10 years; and in case of ex-Servicemen, the extent of age concession is for the ‘period of military service plus three years’ but not beyond 50 years of age.

Duration:

The appointment will be temporary for first three months. If the performance is found satisfactory, the term will be extended by nine months to complete the probation period of one year.  On further satisfactory performance, the term will be extended for a period of four years (viz., total five years). Depending on the evaluation of performance during this five year, the appointee will be offered a permanent position or his/her contract will be renewed / terminated after completion of Five Year Contract Period.  During this period, the candidate will be entitled for perks, etc., as applicable to regular permanent employees.

Scale of Pay	Rs.16000-400-17200-450-19000-500-21000-600-24600-700-28800-800-29600.  Allowances: As admissible to Karnataka Government Employees. The approximate total emoluments on joining ISEC would be: Rs.25,290/-

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be made on the basis of interview of shortlisted candidates. However, mere satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Depending upon the number of applications received in relation to number of vacancies, the Institute reserves the right to call only a limited number of best candidates after preliminary screening with reference to their qualifications, suitability and post-qualification experience, etc.

Applications received after the last date will not be entertained and the Institute takes no responsibility for any delay in the receipt or loss of application in postal transit.
